Does Balenciaga support child porn?

In 2019, Gucci marketed a sweater that featured a black face which was considered racist. Calls to boycott the company did not work as the company spent millions of dollars to advertise and later apologized for the blatant racist look.

In 2022, Balenciaga is marketing a BDSM doll and it involves little children advertising the product. To make matters worse, the brand also has ad on their website that seems to support child pornography. The company has currently removed both of the ads on their website and on all of their social media pages.

The exploitation of children and promotion of child pornography is a serious offence. As a human race we should not be encouraging or supporting such companies and what they promote. The question on many people’s minds is why these companies are not being held responsible for their actions.

You might ask what Gucci and Balenciaga have in common? The answer is simple, both brands are owned by the same parent company. Kering owns both Gucci and balenciaga. How is it that a company that put out the black face in 2019, promoting child pornography and exploitation in 2022? Didn’t they learn from their past mistakes?

Allegedly, the company is working to place the blame on a third party production company to deflect from the mess that has been created. Allegedly, the company is in talks with a few media companies to quell the chatter. Balenciaga spends millions of dollars for ads and many of these media companies are willing destroy others for a paycheque. Will that be enough?
