Ukraine war causes problems for kenya airways.

Report: One of Africa's biggest airlines may be forced to cut some flights, its chief executive said late on Monday (January 9), due to impacts on its supply chain caused by the war in Ukraine.

Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka said in statement that the carrier had been experiencing flight disruptions.

That's due to delays in securing aircraft components required for maintenance.

According to Kilavuka, the Ukraine conflict has "significantly crippled the Russian supply chain crucial to global aviation".

He cited titanium from Russia as one of the key raw materials used by the aviation industry.

Kenya Airways operates a fleet of Boeing and Embraer planes. Its strategy hinges on connecting African travellers to the world and vice versa through its Nairobi hub.
